Power of Attorneys: Explained & Simplified

We have all heard of Powers of Attorneys.  But are we really aware of what they are, what they do and even how many of them exist?  We have Power of Attorneys for finances and Power of Attorneys for healthcare issues.  Does it matter if I have a “Short Form Power of Attorney” instead of a “Common Law Power of Attorney”?  What’s the difference?  Or, is it sufficient that I have a MN Healthcare Directive?  Why would I consider a Healthcare Power of Attorney instead?  What’s the big deal if I neglect getting either one?

On May 9, 2017, from 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., attorney Joseph A. Field of FIELD LAW, P.A., will give a summary presentation of how Power of Attorneys work and which type may work best for you.  This is a free presentation offered to the community in conjunction with Stoney River Assisted Living and Memory Care in Ramsey, MN.  Stoney River will also be offering refreshments & hourdearves (sp?) from 5:15 to 5:45 for early attendees.

There is no cost to this event.  No direct sales of estate planning documents.  No scheduling of future appointments.  It is an informational session only.

Reservations are required due to limited seating.  Call Stoney River at (612) 615-9936 & tell them you want to reserve a spot to the “Power of Attorney Seminar”.  That will do it!

And, at the end of the presentation, one free “Short Form Power of Attorney” shall be given away to one of the attendees ($225.00 value can be applied to alternative estate planning product if such a Power of Attorney is not desired by the winner).

Take the mystery out of Power of Attorneys by attending this free seminar.  See you there!
